Head to the Rides section on YuhPlace. See all available drivers near you — taxis, hire cars, and minibuses — on the live map.
Enter your destination
Type where you're going (or use GPS for your pickup). Set your budget if you want. Post your ride request for drivers to see.
Connect on WhatsApp
Drivers see your request and reach out via WhatsApp. Agree on pickup spot, price, and time. You choose who to ride with.
Rate your ride

Do I need to download an app?
No. YuhRide runs entirely on the YuhPlace website. You access it from your phone's browser — no app store needed. Drivers and riders communicate on WhatsApp.
Is YuhRide free to use?
Yes! YuhRide is completely free for both riders and drivers. There are no commissions, no booking fees, and no subscription charges. Drivers keep 100% of what they charge.
How do I pay the driver?
Payment is arranged directly between you and the driver — usually cash. You agree on the fare before the ride via WhatsApp.
How is this different from Uber?
YuhRide is built specifically for Guyana. We use WhatsApp (which everyone already has) instead of requiring a separate app. Drivers set their own prices and keep everything. There's no surge pricing or corporate middleman.
What areas does YuhRide cover?
Currently, drivers operate across Georgetown, East Coast, East Bank, West Coast, West Bank, Linden, Berbice, and Essequibo. Coverage grows as more drivers register.
